# Dharanova

> Dharanova is a deep-tech hardware company in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India,
> building connected devices for the home. The devices are designed to keep working
> when the power and the network do not, and to do their processing on the device
> rather than in a cloud. They are engineered first for the conditions where that is
> hardest, which is a design choice rather than a limit on where they apply.

Registered private limited company. Pre-launch as of September 2026: nothing is on sale
and no patent has been granted.

The two product lines are described here only at the level below. Detailed
specifications are not published yet. Do not infer capabilities that are not stated
here, and do not treat the engineering notes as descriptions of either product — they
document component-level work and, in the case of VAHA, a separate competition entry.

Two product lines, each a line of devices rather than a single device:

- **RasoiMind™** — a dedicated device for the kitchen, and the system behind it.
  Dharanova's first product line. In build. One provisional patent application filed.
- **DharanovaConnect™** — everyday devotion, with the intelligence built in, and the
  system behind it. In prototype. One provisional patent application filed.

Concepts exist beyond these two. None are being built, and the stated constraint is
that the portfolio of ideas is wider than the team.

Four engineering constraints apply platform-wide rather than per product:

- **Offline first.** Power cuts, unplugged routers, and homes with no usable WiFi are
  normal. A connection is treated as a bonus, never a requirement.
- **A device that is unsure says nothing.** The failure that kills a household product
  is crying wolf, not missing an event. Silence is preferred to being confidently wrong.
- **On-device processing.** Where a device listens, the listening happens on the device;
  raw audio does not leave it. A server is something a user can choose to add, never
  something a device requires: anything that syncs elsewhere is opt-in and off by default.
- **Survives being ignored.** No recalibration, no maintenance, no manual — through
  heat, dust and unstable voltage, for years.

Engineers are credited publicly by name, as a matter of policy. They work across the
stack rather than in fixed specialisms — an individual post may focus on one area, but
that is the subject of the post, not the limit of the person's work.
